# Record Motion

To start recording, **set the Slate (recording file name)** and press the **Record button**.

The **Take number automatically increases by 1** each time you start a new recording, but you can also set it manually.

During recording, the **Timecode will turn red**, and a **'REC' indicator will activate** at the bottom.
